Since Hansen's discovery of virtual photography, she has experimented with ways to bring her images out of the virtual space and into the physical world. Having four years of wet plate collodion experience, Hansen integrates traditional and cutting edge photographic processes to create analog tintypes from video game imagery. She has a firm belief in her practice that virtual photography is missing from the fine art space and works to find innovative ways to connect the past and the future through her depictions of familiar landscapes.
